Policy V: Curriculum
Each institution shall develop course and/or program outlines for each course and/or program offered by the institution and use lesson plans that correlate to the course and/or program outline.
Distance Education
An institution’s distance education policy must work in compliance to the local, state and federal laws and rules, and should contain the following elements-
- The instructor interaction in the academic programs should be measured on the basis of credit hours, clock hours or competency.
- Prior to enrollment, students are provided with a disclaimer that academic achievement earned via distance education may not be accepted for reciprocity or eligible for licensure in other states. A signed and dated copy of this disclosure must be found in the student file.
- All transcripts or other documents, (official or unofficial), listing academic attainment received must identify the distance education component
